By continuing and making an appointment for a notice of marriage you are confirming that you:

  • have read the guidance on our website
  • both have all the required documentation and can meet the residency requirements
  • have made a ceremony booking with the relevant registration office, minister or venue or have decided where the ceremony is to take place
  • understand that if you arrive for a notice appointment and do not have the required documentation, or do not meet the residency or other requirements, then the notice appointment will not be able to go ahead.  A further appointment will need to be made and the fees will need to be paid again.
  • understand that if you do not attend your appointment or advise us of your wish to cancel at least 48 hours in advance you will need to make another appointment for which a further fee will be required

Before booking this appointment please ensure you have a valid credit or debit card available as payment will be taken at the end of this process.

Cancellation Rights:  Under the Consumer Contracts (Information Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel this appointment and receive a full refund of the fee you have paid to us if you do so within fourteen calendar days.  If your appointment is held within the fourteen day period these cancellation rights will end when you attend the appointment.
